I would have to say this article misses a key point though. While it offers some good points , it fails to acknowledge that there are simply too many fishing boats in the world right now to fish sustainably. There needs to be a phased withdrawal from current levels of fishing with incentives and programs for switching these people into other lines of work worldwide. Perhaps even setting up a fund that would pay these guys to fish for plastic as part of a massive ocean cleanup.
