Venezuela seeks to join Brazil and Argentina as nuclear powered nations

Of course the US has concerns but really Venezuela’s oil won’t last forever so what’s a growing country to do? I’m not even going to bother debating the merits of nuclear power. It’s pretty expensive to get going and still has major waste issues but it definitely  produces a lot of power.

In Italy , the government is investigating whether the mafia sunk nuclear waste ships

Anything for a dollar these days… apparently extortion, drugs, and arms deals are not enough to satisfy the mob. Now they pollute the seas for millions of years too? To be fair though this nothing new. Governments around the world used to dump radioactive waste all the time and many still do despite a global agreement that was put forth in 1993.

Nova Scotia and Ottawa have given the go ahead for a pilot project to test tidal power in the Bay of Fundy
